Delhi has topped in the terms of the internet readiness as it has a very competitive position in the areas of IT environment, e-participation and govt. e-services as per the report presented by the industry body IAMAI. Delhi has left behind Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Maharashtra. Chandigarh is ranked second with e-infrastructure and e-participation. Third slot has been given to Puducherry for e-infrastructure. Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology secretary Aruna Sundararajan said that within 5-6 years India will be ranked in top 5 th in connectivity. Anonymous attack on Indian Government Continues Hacktivist grop Anonymous continued its attacks on the Indian government and creative industries at the weekend by taking out the web sites of the national CERT and the country’s President in retaliation for widespread blocks on video and file sharing sites. The group’s  @opindia_revenge  Twitter account documented the latest attacks, which also appeared to take offline the web site of film company and broadcaster Reliance Big Entertainment, and government portal india.gov.in. All are now back online, having apparently been struck by a DDoS attack on Saturday or Sunday. Indian Railways gets ISRO nod to use its satellite for internet in trains. Surfing the internet in trains without using data card seems to be a distinct possibility now as the Railways have got the much-awaited clearance from space agency ISRO for using the  satellite  for the purpose.  The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has given the clearance for using the frequency from KU band for using the satellite for internet, said a senior Railway Ministry official, adding it will be for the first time that internet will be operational in moving trains through satellite.  Though Railways had proposed two years back to provide internet in trains, the project could not take off due to the absence of  ISRO clearance .  "ISRO's clearance for using frequency from satellite for internet is mandatory.
